Privacy Policy

Effective September 25, 2026. Last updated September 25, 2026.

This Privacy Policy explains what Circle of NINE 9 LLC collects when you use The Funded Society app, web app and website, why we collect it, and what we never do with it.

The short version

We keep what you type, and what it takes to run the app. Nothing else.

The Funded Society is a record-keeping app for futures traders who use proprietary trading ("prop") firms. You type in the fees you paid, the payouts you received, the accounts you hold and the trades you take, or you import a trade file from your platform. If you create an account, those records are saved to it so they follow you to any phone and to the web.

We never connect to your bank or your broker. We never ask for a bank login or read a bank statement. We have no advertising, sell nothing about you, and do not use your records to train AI.

Some things you do in the app are public on purpose: your username, messages you post in the chat rooms, and reviews you write. They are marked as public where you post them.

The rest of this policy gives the detail.

1. Who we are

The Funded Society (the "App", including the web app at app.thefundedsociety.app and our website at thefundedsociety.app) is published by Circle of NINE 9 LLC, a California limited liability company ("we", "us"). We decide how the information described here is used.

2. What we collect, and why

2.1 Your account

You can look around the App in preview mode without an account. Preview shows sample numbers and saves nothing. To keep your own records you create an account, and we then hold:

  • How you sign in. Either your email address and a password (we store only a scrambled hash of the password, never the password itself), or the identifier and email address Google or Apple give us when you sign in with them. We get nothing else from Google or Apple: no contacts, no other data.

  • Email confirmation. When you sign up with email we send a one-time code to that address to confirm it is yours. We also email you if you ask to reset your password.

  • Account records we need to run the service: when the account was created, when you last signed in, and whether your email is confirmed. We can see this list of accounts (email address and those dates) to operate and support the App.

2.2 Your records

With an account, what you enter is saved to your account as one document:

  • ledger entries (fees, payouts and other money in and out, with dates, amounts, categories, firms and notes);

  • the prop-firm accounts you track, their sizes, stages, balances and rules;

  • trades and journal notes;

  • your settings and preferences, first name, region, and any business details you choose to enter for your documents;

  • awards the App marks as earned.

We store this to show it back to you on your devices. We do not look through it, and we do not use it for anything else.

Importing a trade file. When you upload a CSV exported from your trading platform, the file is read on your device. You see the trades it found, and only the trades you confirm are saved to your records. The file itself is never uploaded to us.

2.3 What other people can see

These are public inside the App, to other signed-in users:

  • Your username. You choose it. It appears next to anything you post.

  • Your profile picture, if you add one and leave "share my picture" on. With it off, your picture stays on your device.

  • Chat messages. Messages you post in the chat rooms are public to other users, with your username. Chat messages are deleted automatically after 48 hours, and you can delete your own sooner.

  • Reviews. A review of a firm shows your rating, your text, how long you say you have been with the firm, the number of payouts from that firm in your records, and the name you chose to show. It is kept until you remove it. Your email and your records are never attached to a review.

Please do not post anything in a chat room or review that you would not want other people to read.

2.4 Giveaways

If you enter a giveaway, we record that your account entered (your account's identifier, your username and the time). If you win, we use the email address on your account to send you your prize code, and we show the code to you in the App. We keep the record of each draw — who entered, who won and which code went to whom — so we can show the draw was fair and answer questions about it.

2.5 Notifications

  • In-app notices (news and announcements from us) are the same for everyone and involve no personal information.

  • Push notifications (in the phone app, off unless you turn them on): your phone gives us a push token, an address for that install of the App. We keep it with your phone's platform, the App's language and your username (so a message that tags you can reach you). Turning push off tells us to delete the token.

2.6 Anonymous usage counts

To learn which parts of the App are used and how many people we send to each firm, the App reports three kinds of event: a screen was opened, a firm's code was copied, a link to a firm was opened. Each report says only what happened, on which screen, and for firm events which firm. It carries no account, no device identifier and no session, so it cannot tell who did it or that one person did it twice. We keep only daily totals. You can switch it off in You → Privacy and display → Counting.

2.7 Requests every visitor makes

When the App opens it downloads public information from our server: the current prop-firm rules, firm logos, articles, indicators, news headlines and notices. Like every internet request, these carry your IP address. We do not attach them to you or build a profile from them. Our hosting provider keeps short-lived server logs, including IP addresses, for operations and security.

2.8 If you email us

If you write to support@thefundedsociety.app we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it to answer you.

3. What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

  • We show no ads and include no advertising or tracking tools.

  • We do not use your information to train AI or machine-learning models.

  • We do not connect to your bank or broker. No bank logins, no statements, no transaction feeds.

  • We do not use tracking cookies, pixels or fingerprinting. The web app keeps your sign-in session and your records in your browser's own storage so the App works; that is not used to track you anywhere else.

  • Do Not Track. Because we do not track you across sites, browser "Do Not Track" and Global Privacy Control signals do not change anything we do.

4. How we use information

To run the App and your account; to sync your records between your devices; to show public content (usernames, chat, reviews) to other users; to send the emails you would expect (sign-up codes, password resets, giveaway prizes); to keep the App secure and stop abuse (including removing content that breaks our Terms); to answer you; and to meet legal obligations.

5. Who helps us run it

We use a small number of service providers. They handle information only to provide their service to us:

  • Supabase (USA): sign-in, the database for accounts and records, community content. What it receives: your sign-in details, your records, your community content.

  • Vercel (USA): hosts the web app, website and our server. What it receives: requests to our server, including IP addresses in its logs.

  • Resend (USA): sends our emails from noreply@thefundedsociety.app. What it receives: your email address and the email we send you.

  • Google, Apple: "Continue with Google" / "Continue with Apple", if you use them. What it receives: that you signed in to the App, under their own privacy policies.

  • Expo (USA): delivers push notifications in the phone app, if you turn them on. What it receives: the push token and the notification text.

  • Google Fonts: fonts on the website and web app. What it receives: your IP address when the font is downloaded.

Prop firms. When you tap a link or copy a code for a firm, you go to that firm's own website. Some links and codes carry our referral tag so the firm knows you came from us (see our Affiliate Disclosure). We do not send the firm any of your information. What you give the firm is covered by its own privacy policy.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the safety or rights of our users or the public, or as part of a merger or sale of our business, in which case this policy would continue to apply to it.

6. How long we keep things

Your account and records: until you delete your account.

  • Deleted records: kept in "Recently deleted" for 30 days so you can restore them, then removed.

  • Chat messages: 48 hours, then deleted automatically.

  • Reviews: until you remove them or delete your account.

  • Giveaway records: as long as we need them to show a draw was fair and handle questions about it.

  • Push tokens: until you turn push off or the token stops working.

  • Usage counts: daily totals only, which identify no one.

  • Server logs: short-lived, per our hosting provider's settings.

  • Support emails: as long as needed to help you, then deleted.

When you delete your account, your sign-in and your records are deleted straight away. Backups held by our database provider expire within 30 days.

7. Your choices and rights

You can do most of this yourself in the App:

  • See and take your data: You → Backup and restore exports your records to a file.

  • Correct or delete it: edit or delete any entry, trade, note, message or review.

  • Delete your account: You → Account → delete your account. Everything saved to it goes.

  • Turn things off: push notifications, sharing your picture, and the anonymous usage counts each have a switch.

Or email support@thefundedsociety.app and we will help. We may need to confirm the request comes from the account holder, usually by replying to the account's email address.

California residents. Under the CCPA/CPRA you may ask to know what personal information we hold and how we use it, to get a copy, to have it corrected or deleted, and to opt out of its sale or sharing, and we will not treat you differently for asking. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use sensitive personal information beyond what is needed to provide the App.

In the last 12 months we collected: identifiers (email address, account identifier, username, IP address); financial information you entered yourself (your records); commercial information (giveaway entries and prizes); user content (chat messages, reviews, profile picture). Sources: you, and Google or Apple if you sign in with them. Purpose: providing the App, as described above. Disclosed to: the service providers in section 5. Sold or shared: none.

If you are in the EEA or UK. Our legal bases are contract (running your account and the App), legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, answering you, anonymous usage counts), consent (push notifications, sharing your picture) and legal obligation. You have the rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability and objection, and you can complain to your data protection authority.

8. Security

Records are stored with our database provider in the United States, encrypted in transit and at rest, behind access rules that let a signed-in user read and write only their own records. Passwords are stored only as hashes. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information we will tell you as the law requires. On your side: use a strong password (the App requires one), lock your phone, and use Hide balances on a shared or streamed screen.

9. Children

The App is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, email support@thefundedsociety.app and we will delete it.

10. International users

We operate from the United States and store information there. If you use the App from outside the US, your information is transferred to and stored in the United States.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant, such as collecting something new, we will tell you in the App before it takes effect.
